Quick Bias Scan
Get the text from the user. If they haven't provided any, ask:
"What reasoning, decision, or text would you like me to check for biases?"
If the input is very brief, ask if there's more context about the
decision or thought process.
Scan for cognitive biases. For each bias detected:
- Name the bias
- Point to where it appears (quote or paraphrase)
- Briefly explain how it might be affecting the reasoning
Focus on clear patterns—don't stretch to find biases that aren't
evident. If no significant biases are apparent, say so.
Present findings concisely:
Bias Scan Results
Biases Found: [number] or "None significant"
[For each bias:]
[Bias Name]
Where: [Quote or describe where it appears]
Impact: [How it might be affecting the reasoning]
Quick Take: [One-sentence summary—is this reasoning likely
affected by bias, or does it seem well-balanced?]
If no biases found, note which biases would be most worth watching
given the type of reasoning being done.
To run this task you must have the following required information:
> Text, reasoning, or a decision to analyze for biases
If you don't have all of this information, exit here and respond asking for any extra information you require, and instructions to run this task again with ALL required information.
---
You MUST use a todo list to complete these steps in order. Never move on to one step if you haven't completed the previous step. If you have multiple read steps in a row, read them all at once (in parallel).
Add all steps to your todo list now and begin executing.
